For Panzer Tracts No.5-4, the authors spent hundreds of hours measuring the surviving Panther II chassis and the Schmalturm and over a thousand hours drawing at full scale to create as-built drawings accurate to the same tolerances demanded of the original assembly firms. Extensive measurement of the Panther II chassis has shown that its design differs entirely from the Panther Ausf.F chassis.

As with the other Panzer Tracts Panther books, it is being revised and expanded with the latest information, more photos and more CAD drawings. It will also include the Panzerbeobachtungswagen Panther.
