Fifty Years of Silence: Ordnance Technical Intelligence Team Depot 0-644, Paris, France 1944-1945
It has been 75 years since Master Sergeant Paul Cernak, ASN 32/56565, returned home to the United States. A story that started in 1941, was sealed by his silence for 50 years. It is time for his story to finally be told. The Ordnance Corps waterproofing testing conducted in England, for the invasion of Normandy, France on June 6, 1944, and the work of Ordnance Technical Intelligence Teams in France, was critical work for the war effort. It resulted in the cross-channel invasion of Europe and the reverse engineering of critical enemy ordnance materiel that ultimately led to the US Space Program after the war.
This book contains some truly astonishing images of very rare German weapons and vehicles. Scroll down for a list, or check out the page samples.
