Scale Military Modeller Int'l Magazine March 2011

What a remarkable book this is, and what an enormous amount of breathtaking new material it uncovers! Beautifully presented, and lavishly illustrated with a mass of black and white photographs, this volume celebrates the unsung maintenance arm of the Panzerwaffe, and does so in style. Pictorially the book is unparalleled. Panzerwrecks' ability to source rare images of superb quality puts their work right at the forefront of current military publishing, but even by their standards some of this stuff is remarkable, and with more good kits of German trucks and tractors coming onto the market. there is plenty of interest in the subject. The inspiration offered by many of the scenes depicted will no doubt be seen in some workshop dioramas further down the line.

Looking at many of the overviews of repair yards, we can all be grateful for our spares boxes, and of course there is scope on the back of this book for manufacturers of resin accessories to increase their coverage, and tool benches, lathes, cranes, welding gear, and a host of other bits and pieces will no doubt be appearing soon from various sources.

This is only Volume 1 - which means there will be more to come - so bravo to that!
